AMR company Datamatic launches Asia Pacific expansion

Plano, TX, October 12, 2005 — Executives with Datamatic Ltd. have announced an expansion into the growing Asia Pacific market beginning with a new office in Australia headed by Michael Kenyon.

A twenty-three year veteran of the industry, Kenyon has spent the past 15 years in the utility data collection field. He served as managing director of Itron Australasia Pty Ltd. Kenyon established sales initiatives throughout the entire Oceania region including Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and New Zealand.

Datamatic will provide meter reading and field data collection solutions to water, natural gas and electric utilities. The heart of the system is the FIREFLY meter interface units that archive consumption data at user-definable intervals. Data is extracted for conversion into a graph, spreadsheet or other meaningful formats.
