AMRA Announces 1998 Board
The Automatic Meter Reading Association (AMRA) announced its 1998 board members and committee chairs during the 10th Annual AMRA Symposium held in September. Association voting members approved the slate of candidates assembled by the association`s nominating committee.
Peter Lukens, North Wales (Pa.) Water Authority, continues as AMRA`s president and George Dieter, Baltimore Gas & Electric, continues as vice president. Ron Chebra, AT&T Solutions and Jim Ariz, Consumers Gas Co., will serve the second year of their terms as secretary and treasurer, respectively, in 1998.
AMRA`s 1998 board of trustees are: George Achibald, Severn Trent Water Ltd.; Dave Gestler, Sensus Technologies Inc.; Joe Gillen, AMR Data Corp; Bob Green, Duquesne Light Co.; Maritza Jackson, Badger Meter Inc.; Terry Kessinger, Volt-VIEWtech; Dan Moncino, Schlumberger Industries Inc.; Don Schlenger, EMA Services Inc.; Bob Scullion, Equitable Gas Co.; Mark Stallmann, Teldata Inc.; and Ray Wiesehan, Union Electric.
AMRA`s 1998 committee chairs are: Cosmo Iacavazzi, Reep Inc., marketing committee; Terry Kessinger, Volt-VIEWtech, membership committee; Carolyn Kinsman, Automated Communication Links Inc., education committee; Bill Lemon, Connext Corp., program committee; Bill Rush, Institute of Gas Technology, standards committee; Ella Young, Centra Gas Manitoba Inc., publications committee.
AMRA also formed an exhibitors committee to provide advice in areas that affect the growing exhibit component of the association`s annual symposium, held each year in September.
