Announcement of NYSERDA funding for distributed generation and CHP

New York, Jan. 8, 2002 — New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is providing $10 million in funding assistance to promote distributed generation technologies and combined heat and power (CHP, or cogeneration) applications in industrial, commercial, insitutional, and residential sectors.

Eligible projects include feasibility studies, product development, and installation demonstrations, at funding levels up to $100,000, $500,000, and $1,000,000, respectively, per project.

Proposals requesting funding must be submitted by March 12, 2002. Note that the deadline has been extended since the original announcement.
