Advanced Control Systems (ACS) announced the acceptance for delivery of a complete SCADA master and remote station system equipped with Distributed Network Protocol Version 3.0 (DNP 3.0) to the Department of Energy`s Nevada test site. This is the fifth delivery of an ACS system with DNP 3.0 since January 1996. The full function support and open communications protocol allows the system to execute advanced features of DNP such as report-by-exception and unsolicited or quiescent operation regardless of third-party devices. The software can also be shipped to upgrade an existing RTU to communicate with existing third-party intelligent electronic devices.
