AZZ announces $6 million in gas-insulated bus duct contracts

The subsidiary CGIT Westboro’s gas-insulated bus duct services will transmit electricity from two new power plants that will be operational in the near future, to the appropriate access points on the power transmission grid in their respective areas.

DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 10, 2000 — In an effort to relieve the power shortage in southern Africa, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) is anticipating the launch of a common electricity supply market. The market, with an anticipated launch date of October, is aimed at sharing power among member states according to SADC officials.
