Basler plans manufacturing operation in Taylor, Texas

Oct. 2, 2002 — Basler Electric Co. announced the planned opening of a manufacturing operation in its Taylor, Texas plant, located 35 miles outside of Austin.

The new operation will produce a variety of Power Systems products and be Basler’s seventh manufacturing facility. The company currently has two locations in Arkansas, two in Mexico and one in Wasselonne, France. Basler’s Power Systems products serve a wide range of applications for industrial, commercial and electrical utilities.

The opening of this manufacturing operation will increase and enhance Basler’s manufacturing capabilities as well as shorten lead times for its Power Systems products. The corporate headquarters, located in Highland, Illinois, is presently the sole manufacturing location for Power Systems products.

The dual manufacturing locations create an increase in capacity and a disaster contingency for all Basler Electric Power Systems products. The location in Texas also will benefit customers in the southern United States and Mexico by reducing shipping time. Basler Electric is dedicated to serving our customers.

The new Power Systems facility offers our customers the reassurance of dual capacity capabilities for all of our products. Basler Electric was founded in 1942 in Highland, Illinois, which is still the corporate headquarters for this multi-facility manufacturing company with other locations throughout the United States, Mexico and France.
