Binnie Black & Veatch mapping public access land in UK

The maps are a critical step in increasing and improving recreational public access to the countryside, the goal of the Countryside & Rights of Way Act of 2000. The technical part of this ambitious project includes identifying and mapping all the designated land and creating a geographic information system (GIS) to help the Countryside Agency manage access to it.

ATLANTA, March 20, 2001 (PRNewswire) — CES International announced today that Scott Neumann, CES International vice president of strategic development, has been named lead U.S. technical advisor to the International Electrotechnical Commission’s (IEC) Technical Committee 57 (TC 57). The committee is responsible for the coordination of 11 working groups charged with developing standards for power-systems operations and control.
