BPA, Golden Northwest agree to delay power deliveries, pursue wind energy

The curtailment agreement covers the full 236 megawatts of power Golden Northwest otherwise would have received from BPA from Oct. 1, 2001, through March 31, 2002.

HOUSTON, June 26, 2001 – Reliant Energy Wholesale Group, a unit of Reliant Resources, Inc., today announced it has completed much needed maintenance – including installing state-of-the-art environmental control technology to reduce air pollution and lower power costs – on two units at its Etiwanda power plant in California, the company’s oldest in the state.
