California bill would make energy price gouging a felony

HOUSTON, Apr. 26, 2001 — California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante and Assemblyman Dennis Cardoza (D-Merced) Thursday introduced a bill that seeks to imprison anyone convicted of gas and electricity price gouging in the California energy markets.
