California regulators raise electricity rates

HOUSTON, Mar. 27, 2001—The California Public Utilities Commission Tuesday approved an electricity rate increase of 3 cents/kw-hr effective immediately and proposed a formula for the utilities to reimburse the state for purchases made on behalf of retail customers.
