Calpine announces addition of Gerald Greenwald to its board of directors

He recently retired from UAL Corporation where he served five years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. UAL is the holding company for United Airlines-the world’s top air carrier and largest employee-owned corporation. Prior to UAL, Greenwald’s career focused on the auto industry, working for Ford Motor Company, and then moving on to Chrysler Corp., as Vice Chairman through its 1980’s turnaround.

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 17, 2001 — Calpine Corporation today signed two agreements that provide 1,000 megawatts of power for five years to Reliant Energy Services, Inc., a unit of Reliant Resources, Inc.
