Calpine to supply 400 MW to PG&E customers in Calif.

Electricity deliveries will begin July 1, 2001 and end December 31, 2003. Calpine believes this new electricity resource will promote price stability for PG&E customers. This transaction also validates Calpine’s plans to develop new energy centers to serve the company’s existing and new customers throughout the West.

HAGERSTOWN, Md., Oct 18, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) – Allegheny Energy, Inc. (NYSE: AYE), announced today that its unregulated generation subsidiary, Allegheny Energy Supply Company, LLC, plans to construct a 1,080-megawatt (MW) natural gas-fired merchant generating facility in La Paz County, Arizona, approximately 75 miles west of Phoenix.
