Citing backlash, Wisconsin firm withdraws competition plan

HOUSTON, Feb. 21, 2001–Backlash caused by the California electricity crisis has prompted Wisconsin energy company WPS Resources Corp., Green Bay, to withdraw its customer choice program from consideration by state regulators.
