Citizens Communications announces termination of sale of its Arizona and Vermont electric properties

The transaction was announced on February 15, 2000 as part of Citizens’ plan of disposition of its utility operations. Cap Rock was unable to secure the financing necessary to satisfy the terms and conditions of the purchase agreement.

WESTBURY, NY, March 7, 2001 – The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) and KeySpan today awarded nearly 2 million dollars to local companies and universities to develop new energy technologies. These new technologies will help improve energy efficiency and delivery and bring better service to electric and gas customers on Long Island.
