Clean-air proposals generate debate

HARTFORD, Sept. 22, 2000 (The Hartford Courant)–Owners of five of the state’s oldest, dirtiest power plants have repeatedly said that forcing them to clean up air emissions from the plants could force them to close, threatening the reliability of electricity supplies.
