Coal-fired generation trims gas use, analyst says

HOUSTON, June 25, 2001 – If the current pace of coal use continues, it could displace up to one-half the previously predicted increased demand for gas-fired electric generation this summer, said a Houston analyst.

WILMINGTON, Del., June 25, 2001 – Conectiv today announced its Delmarva Power & Light Company subsidiary has completed the sale of approximately 1,081 megawatts of baseload coal-fired generation to subsidiaries of NRG Energy.
