Columbia Energy subsidiaries, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Columbia Gas of Maryland, selected San Francisco-based SPL WorldGroup (www.splwg.com) to integrate and install a new customer relationship management (CRM) system for the companies.
The system is expected to help Columbia Gas better understand and analyze customer energy requirements, track and meet customer needs more closely and provide more efficient service. Columbia Gas represents the first installation by SPL of a comprehensive CRM system. The first phase of the project, scheduled for startup in October, involved deployment of a sales force automation system.
SPL is using Visual Elk and synchronization products from The Great Elk Co. to build the system.
