Con Edison enrolls 100,000 customers in electric retail choice program

Regardless of which supplier customers choose, Con Edison will continue to deliver the electricity to homes and businesses in its service area. This milestone places the Con Edison program among the most popular in the country. Under the program, now in its third year, all customers are able to purchase electricity and gas from alternate suppliers called Energy Services Companies, or ESCOs. To facilitate comparison-shopping, customers can obtain a list of participating ESCOs through the Con Edison Web site at http://www.coned.com/athome/athome.asp.

DENVER, Colo., April 9, 2001–Convergent Group Corporation announced today that it has signed a new contract with Northeast Utilities for systems integration services aimed at helping to position the energy company as a leader in the new, digital economy.
