Con Edison’s electrical distribution system has best summer performance in eight years

This gain in reliability is not just the result of cooler-than-normal weather this summer. Even when adjusted for weather, the decrease in service interruptions this summer compared with the previous five-year average was approximately 34 percent.

BUTTE, Mont., Oct. 2, 2000—NorthWestern Corp., a $5 billion revenue energy and communications company, has finalized a definitive agreement to acquire Montana Power’s electric and natural gas utility business for approximately $1.1 billion.
