ConEdison Solutions enters energy market in Texas

Houston, TX, Mar. 20, 2006 — ConEdison Solutions, an energy service provider, has expanded its national presence by entering the deregulated energy marketplace in Texas.

ConEdison Solutions is a subsidiary of Consolidated Edison Inc. In January 2006, ConEdison Solutions began offering electric power in the Centerpoint service area of Texas.

By tapping supplies provided by ConEdison Solutions, the company hopes Texas customers will be able to control cost volatility and reduce overall energy spending. ConEdison Solutions offers retail electricity to business and institutional customers with various pricing structures designed to meet their particular energy needs, including both fixed-price and index-based options.

The company supplies competitively priced energy and energy management services to such prominent clients as the Invensys Process Systems, The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, the U.S. Postal Service, Cape Light Compact, Rudin Management, New York Presbyterian Hospital, the New York Marriott Marquis, and many of the northeast’s largest commercial and industrial customers.
