Constellation Energy added to DJSI

Baltimore, MD, October 10, 2005 — Constellation Energy, supplier of electricity to large commercial and industrial customers, announced that it has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index (DJSI), which tracks the financial performance of companies that demonstrate excellence in economic, environmental and social leadership.

Inclusion on the index is based on a thorough evaluation of a company’s business practices, such as corporate governance, environmental impact, supply chain standards, human capital development and labor practices. Launched in September 2005, the DJSI North America includes leading companies from the United States and Canada representing eighteen industry sectors. Constellation Energy also is listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability United States Index, which is a subset of the DJSI North America.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes were launched in 1999 as the first global stock indexes to track the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies, providing asset managers with reliable and objective benchmarks to evaluate corporate citizenship.
