Constellation Energy named to the BusinessWeek ranking of best performing U.S. companies

Baltimore, MD, Mar. 27, 2007 — Constellation Energy has been named to the BusinessWeek 50 annual ranking of the best performing companies in the U.S. Constellation Energy is ranked at No. 37 on the list, which is available in the March issue of BusinessWeek magazine.

The BusinessWeek 50 selects “best in class” performers from each S&P 500 sector and ranks the companies using a number of measures, with emphasis on management’s use of capital and overall sales growth. In 2006, Constellation Energy generated $19.3 billion in revenues and grew adjusted earnings by 25 percent. This is Constellation Energy’s first year in the BusinessWeek 50 ranking.
