Constellation Nuclear to take over Nine Mile Point nuclear assets in $1.04 billion deal

Constellation Nuclear was the successful bidder in a competitive auction for the plants. The purchase price is $815 million in cash and payments and $134 million in interest for 82 percent of the 1,148-megawatt Nine Mile Point 2 plant and 100 percent of the 609-megawatt Nine Mile Point 1 plant.

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 11, 2000 (PRNewswire) – Green Mountain Energy Company, a provider of cleaner and renewable electricity, today filed its application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) to become a Retail Electric Service Provider.
