Creditors patient, frustrated with near bankrupt California utility

HOUSTON, Feb. 13, 2001–Edison International unit Southern California Edison Co. expects creditors to remain patient and keep the utility out of bankruptcy a little longer, while the California legislature works out a plan to resolve the credit crisis.

DAYTON, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 14, 2001–The Dayton Power and Light Company (DP&L), a subsidiary of DPL Inc. (NYSE:DPL – news), today presented Montgomery County with a check for $16.1 million, representing DP&L’s property taxes for the first half of the taxable year.
