Delay sought for energy competition in Nevada

Sept. 13, 2000 (www.lvrj.com) – Democratic leaders Tuesday urged Gov. Kenny Guinn to postpone the start of competition in the electric power industry until the Legislature convenes in February, as the Republican governor earlier suggested he may do.

Sept. 15, 2000 – The Alliance Regional Transmission Organization companies (Alliance RTO) has submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) a filing that complies with all issues raised in FERC’s conditional approval orders of December 20, 1999, and May 18, 2000.
