Denise Bode named principal at Cornerstone Government Affairs

Cornerstone Government Affairs has named Denise Bode, former CEO of the American Wind Energy Association and former president of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, as a principal in the firm.

Bode is a nationally recognized expert on energy and tax policy and has been cited as one of Washington’s top lobbyists. 

Her previous positions include CEO of the American Clean Skies Foundation and Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner, where she was responsible for regulation of energy production, telecommunications and electric utilities. Bode also served as partner and tax counsel in the Washington, D.C., firm Gold and Liebengood Inc., where she was actively involved in the most recent major tax reform legislation in 1986 and as legal counsel to U.S. Sen. David Boren (D-OK), focusing on energy, trade and taxation.
