Detroit Edison’s electric choice program completes final bid phase

Bid results from the recently completed fifth and final bid phase of the program showed that demand for capacity again exceeded the amount available. Bidders, including power marketers, electricity customers and other aggregated groups, submitted 70 requests for capacity. Capacity was awarded for residential, commercial and industrial customer groups.

The rule regulates many of the terms and conditions that will govern retail electric service after the advent of retail competition.
