DistribuTECH: Utilities enter brave new world

Transforming the business of running a power utility to an e-business involves a commitment to customer service and flexibility, said Paul Ruganis, Vice President of Information Services for Rochester Gas and Electric Corp. In his presentation, entitled “e-nabling RG&E’s Future, Creating New Business Model,” he explained the utility’s Pride project, an effort to improve efficiency and give the customer more options for interacting with the company.

SAN DIEGO , CA, Feb. 5, 2001 — At the DistributTECH show today CES International announced that United Energy (UE) of Australia has completed the first portion of its multi-year distribution management systems project and is now ready to go live on CES’ Centricity operations resource management system.
