Distributed I/O System for Process Control

Distributed I/O System for Process Control

The controllers in Mauell`s distributed I/O package include binary coded decimal output, digital input, digital output and an analog output. A serial asynchronous RS-485 port used as a host interface for RS-232/RS-485 network communications drives the system. Package interfaces with PCs, PLCs, workstations and host computers. Can be used to simulate processes or provide maintenance diagnostics with Windows-based diagnostic software. The system provides distributed intelligence over a single twisted-pair cable and can be coupled with a dual-redundant approach as needed. Structure is optically isolated and can withstand up to kV surges.
