Dominion Retail Signs with Peace Software

An ambitious expansion strategy underpins Dominion Retail’s decision to deploy the Energy system. The company plans to extend its stronghold in the Mid-Atlantic region over the next two to three years. To achieve this customer growth plan, Dominion Retail required a superior, e-commerce energy customer management (ECM) solution capable of rapid, scalable market entry. “Peace’s vision and depth of experience appealed to us in selecting a product purposively built for the deregulated energy industry,” said Tom Dodd, Dominion Retail vice president of operations. A rapid deployment of the Energy system is planned, with an initial Go Live targeted for December.

PHILADELPHIA—PECO Energy Co. has signed a definitive agreement to purchase 49.9 percent of Sithe Energies’ North American businesses for $682 million, with an option to purchase 100 percent of the company within two to five years, at a price based on prevailing market conditions.
