DPL files to end transmission line control

Under the new organization, mandated by federal regulators, DP&L will continue to own its transmission lines but the operation will be turned over to Alliance. It will provide transmission access to all generation suppliers. Other members include American Electric Power, Consumers Energy, Detroit Edison, FirstEnergy and Virginia Power.

NEW YORK, N.Y., Oct. 18, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) – Composite Power Corporation (CPC) has acquired ownership interest in leases of over 30,000 acres of coal reserves located in Utah. The proven coal reserves are sufficient to generate enough electricity to light up Las Vegas for over 150 years.
