Duke’s Donnell to head EPSA’s 2003 Executive Committee

Washington, D.C., Oct. 25, 2002 — The Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA) announced Thursday that Jim Donnell, president and CEO, Duke Energy North America, Houston, has been elected to serve as the association’s chair for 2003.

EPSA, the national trade group representing competitive power suppliers, also announced the rest of its leadership for the coming year.

Frank Cassidy, president and COO, PSEG Power, Newark, N.J., will serve as EPSA’s first vice chair. Michael Stice, president, ConocoPhillips Gas & Power Marketing, Houston, will serve as second vice chair.

Graham Brown, COO, Ontario Power Generation, Toronto, will serve as secretary. William P. Utt, president and CEO, Tractebel North America Inc., Houston, will serve as treasurer.

Michael Cyrus, president and CEO, Energy Merchant Business Unit, Cinergy Corp., Cincinnati, will serve as member-at-large on the EPSA Executive Committee.

“The competitive power supply industry is being challenged like never before,” said EPSA President Lynne H. Church. “However, this is a slate of leaders that has the experience, expertise and integrity to guide the industry through this storm and to finally achieve efficient and non-discriminatory power markets.”

Members of the association’s executive committee are elected to one-year terms.
