ECOwatt announces 20 MW biomass-fueled power plant targeted for Maryland’s Eastern Shore

According to ECOwatt officials, the power plant, the first of several planned by the firm in the Mid Atlantic region, is uniquely designed to meet the area’s power needs, waste management concerns as well as to provide economic and employment opportunities.

TULSA, Okla., April 19, 2001 – A unit of Williams today announced plans to develop a 1,230 megawatt natural gas-fired power generation plant near Fairburn, Georgia. The facility, currently in permitting stages, is scheduled for completion in 2004.
