Elk Mound combustion turbines enhance reliability for Dairyland system

The two combustion turbines add more than 80 megawatts (MW) of reliable peaking capacity and energy to the Dairyland system and the Upper Midwest, at a cost of $43 million.

NEW YORK, July 2, 2001 — Volt Information Sciences, Inc. announced today that its telecommunications services group has received a contract from BellSouth Corp. to supply Central office power engineering, materials and installation services (EF&I) to various areas in the BellSouth region.
