EMA opens Winnipeg office

ST. PAUL, MN, Jan. 16, 2004 — EMA, Inc., has opened an office in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to better service the City of Winnipeg, one of EMA’s key clients since 1978, and other clients in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The Winnipeg office is the second office location for EMA Canada; the initial office opened in Toronto in 1996.

EMA Canada is part of EMA Group, which serves clients throughout North America. EMA delivers a full suite of comprehensive consulting services for utilities, public works agencies, municipalities, and manufacturers.

“With the Winnipeg office, we will be able to provide the best value to clients in the Winnipeg area,” said Rienk de Vries, Managing Director of EMA Canada. “By establishing a local presence, we will be better able to deliver sustainable results to communities using technology and organization best practices.”

The office will be managed by Brian Hurding, Managing Partner. Hurding (bhurding@ema-inc.com) has more than 35 years of experience specializing in operations and maintenance, process redesign, and work management systems for water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities, as well as hydro utilities and manufacturers worldwide. Hurding has worked extensively with the City of Winnipeg and will be able to bring both international expertise and local knowledge to clients across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

The Winnipeg office officially opened its doors on January 02, 2004. The new Winnipeg office is conveniently located behind the Fort Garry Hotel, providing easy access for clients, at Fort Garry Place, Unit MZ55, 81 Garry Street, in Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4J9.
