Empire District Electric files interim Missouri electric rates

The Company is seeking to increase rates $16,770,495, or 8.18%. The request comes as a result of significant increases in the cost of natural gas and purchased power, and construction costs associated with the Company’s new State Line Combined Cycle Power Plant.
