EnergyConnect signs Thomas Jefferson University for services

Portland, OR, Nov. 7, 2005 — Microfield Group Inc. (Microfield) announced that its subsidiary, EnergyConnect Inc. (ECI), has completed an agreement for services with Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) in Philadelphia, Penn.

The initial project will include seven buildings of the TJU downtown Philadelphia campus. These buildings will be combined with other ECI participants in the region to service PJM, the regional grid operator.

Officials from Microfield and TJU expect the partnership to improve energy efficiency, conservation and management on the TJU campus because of investments by TJU in better energy systems. Microfield also hopes the agreement’s results will help to get a leg up on the competition in the region.
