Entergy completes software upgrade at Indian Point 2 Nuclear Facility

Buchanan, NY, April 2, 2002 — Drawing Management Inc. has completed its rollout of Entrada Software’s eChange Solutions software at Entergy’s Indian Point 2 Nuclear Facility, located at the Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan, NY.

According to William Lemanski, Manager of Software Applications for Entergy Nuclear Northeast, “eChange Solutions represents the next generation of secure drawing management systems required for our complex and heavily regulated industry. We are continuing to improve our software environment at Entergy, and eChange represents one of several important initiatives that we have now completed.”

Drawing Management, Inc. was selected by Entergy to provide planning, implementation and support services for the installation of eChange. The implementation process included an analysis of IP2’s current drawing life-cycle process and the development of a migration path to eChange from their existing drawing management system, Metaphase (a legacy system which was inherited from Con Edison after Entergy’s purchase of the IP2 facility in September 2001).

Internal studies determined that Metaphase would be costlier and more complex to maintain than the purchase and implementation of Entrada’s eChange Solutions.

eChange is now providing state-of-the-art drawing management and revision control capabilities to over two hundred of Entergy’s Indian Point 2 designers, engineers, records management and general user personnel on-site and at remote locations.

“DMI is very proud to have been chosen by Entergy for this very important project” said Steve Thomson, President of Drawing Management, Inc. “We will continue to support the IP2 facility, along with it’s sister plant, IP3 and the John A. Fitzpatrick plant, for their continued and expanded use of Entrada’s eChange Solutions.”
