EPRI honors East Kentucky Power for leadership in use of clean coal technologies

“East Kentucky Power, led by CEO Roy Palk, has shown outstanding foresight in adopting and using clean coal technologies. In recent years, Roy has helped carry the banner for a balanced U.S. energy supply, building a coalition of grassroots support across the entire membership of NRECA,” said Hank Courtright, EPRI’s Vice President of Generation and Distributed Resources. As he presented the plaque to Palk, Courtright also commended a key individual in the effort, Shiela Medina, Manager, Research and Development.
