FERC approves RTO West after US energy secretary calls for action

HOUSTON, Apr. 26, 2001 – The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission late Wednesday conditionally approved parts of a plan to establish RTO West, a regional transmission organization spanning eight western states but not California.

TORRANCE, Calif., April 26, 2001–Amonix Inc., of Torrance, today announced that Arizona Public Service Co. (APS), Arizona’s longest-serving electric utility, plans to install the world’s largest high-concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) solar project using Amonix’s patented technology.
