Florida’s Clay Electric Co-op selects budget management software from Innoprise Software, Inc.
ORLANDO, Fla. and BEND, Ore., August 2, 2004 — Innoprise Software, Inc. announced that Clay Electric Co-op Inc., headquartered in Keystone Heights, Florida, has signed a contract to purchase the enterprise software company’s budget management software. The new software, Innoprise Budget, will replace a legacy system that no longer meets the co-op’s changing business requirements. One of the largest electric co-ops in the United States, Clay Electric provides power to residential, commercial and industrial customers. With approximately 149,000 member-owners, the co-op’s service area encompasses 15 North Florida counties and includes more than 11,320 miles of distribution and transmission lines.
Innoprise Budget is a highly scalable, Web-based application designed to streamline the budget management processes of utilities and government agencies. A module of Innoprise’s recently announced financial management software suite, the budget module is fully integrated with the suite’s financial, inventory, purchasing, accounting, human resources, portfolio management, payroll and business planning modules, providing a comprehensive view of corporate financial performance across the enterprise.
With a goal of simplifying and improving budget processes, Clay Electric selected Innoprise Budget partly based on the software’s built-in workflow automation features. Those features support user-defined, workflow-based business rules that streamline the way business processes are assigned, completed and approved and which enable users to quickly and easily modify business rules as their operational needs and regulatory demands change. The co-op plans to deploy the new software to 42 users across the utility. Innoprise Budget supports multiple budget versions and historical tracking over an unlimited number of years. There are no restrictions on the number of user-defined budget scenarios that can be created and revised, providing Clay Electric with dramatically enhanced flexibility in budget analysis. Budget scenarios can encompass everything from the entire co-op to individual line items. With Microsoftâ„- Office integration and one-touch reporting, users across the enterprise can easily exchange data with desktop applications and extract information to create even the most complex ad hoc reports.
