Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Metering Technology Corp. with Market Engineering Award

Founded in 1997, MTC provides the utility market with solid-state electric gas wellhead meters, Webfoot and the Epsilon Prime Software System. Webfoot, a new technology that provides a cost-effective, reliable metering and telemetry solution for collecting, storing and transmitting consumption information from electric, gas and water meters, was developed by MTC and released in 1999. The Epsilon Prime Software System provides rapid data availability and capture, comprehensive data management and Internet-hosting solutions for both small and large-scale deployment of MTC’s electric and gas meters, and the MTC Webfoot.

GDI Global Data Inc. and IMServ (Invensys Measurement Services) have entered into a non-exclusive strategic partnership to provide North American electric, water and gas utilities with an end-to-end automatic meter reading (AMR) solution that is intended to allow utilities to focus on their core business of power generation and distribution.
