ATLANTA, Ga., Sept. 6, 2001 – GE Power Systems has expanded its portfolio of online services for customers with the launch of GERepairSolutions.com(SM), which links users to more than 60 GE service facilities around the world.
The new website enables users to quickly and easily find repair services for all types of industrial and power plant equipment, including gas and steam turbines, motors, switchgear, and transformers.
GE’s service centers provide repair services for GE components as well as equipment from other manufacturers. In addition to providing a comprehensive overview of the capabilities of a specific service facility, including each center’s areas of specialization, GERepairSolutions.com also:
à¯¿½ Provides contact information for each service center
à¯¿½ Lets the user view the workscope of a specific repair, checking each step required to complete the service
à¯¿½ Enables the user to request a quote online for a repair service
à¯¿½ Enables the user to ask a question regarding GE Power Systems repair services and receive a response, usually within one business day
à¯¿½ Allows the user to submit a purchase order to initiate service work online
The development team is already working on additional functionality for GERepairSolutions.com such as allowing registered customers to check the status of in-process repair and confirm scheduling details.
