Global Data demonstrates remote on-demand meter reading at AMRA conference

This is the second significant milestone in connection with Global Data’s fast-track development effort for the California Legislature’s Peak Load Reduction Program, which prescribes that large electric power customers (200kw and above) be provided on-demand access to their electric power usage. On September 4, 2001, Global Data announced a Memorandum of Understanding with GE Meters to provide an immediate solution to the California Legislature’s Peak Load Reduction Program (http://www.energy.ca.gov/peakload/).

Low-cost device is the result of a new agreement with International Utility Information Systems Corp.
