Great River Energy to develop 21-MW wind project in Minnesota as state debates energy bills

The announcement coincides with an intense debate on energy legislation in the Minnesota legislature and a push by renewable energy advocates to see an energy bill include a Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) for the state.

March 26, 2001—The North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) today applauded Senators Jeff Bingaman and Tom Daschle for including reliability language in their “Comprehensive and Balanced Energy Policy Act of2001 (S. 597).”
