HomeRider Systems sets up operations in U.S.

Feb. 5, 2002 — HomeRider Systems announced the opening of its first North-American office situated in Montreal, Canada.

The move gives the company a presence in exporting its expertise in the domains of monitoring and home services.

“Our company proposes products and services that allow distributors of energy products to reduce their operating costs and to generate new business opportunities. We find the same dynamics each side of the Atlantic and we should take the opportunity to expand into this new market to consolidate our expertise” declared Robert Frati C.E.O. of HomeRider Systems.

HomeRider Systems offers a product range that is simple to install, effective and low cost. A range of measuring units, various gauges and sensors can measure the level of a fuel tank, read a meter, provide a temperature reading, or even detect an intrusion, a movement or a leak in the home and then relay this information via radio frequency to the HomeRider gateway: the C@ll Rider. The C@ll Rider then communicates to a central server via Internet. The HomeRider Servers in turn transmit this information to a supplier of energy, a service supplier or the end customer.

“We present simple solutions to companies which operate in often complex environments. Initial reactions in America are excellent and match those we have received in Europe since the launch of our activities. We can now rely on a fast growing and seasoned team which does not stop to develop and is able to support efficiently the operation of the satellite offices,” concluded Robert Frati.

The North American operation will be managed by Vincent Gagne who brings a lot of experience in the fields of telecommunications and services for energy distribution companies. “The customer references of HomeRider, including in the United States speak for themselves. The understanding of the diversity of international problems, validated by the success met in the United Kingdom for example, was one of the key elements in my decision to join this team. The possibilities offered by this new service are exceptional: there is no doubt, we will not be short of work in the years to come!” declared Vincent Gagne.

HomeRider Systems groups a highly experienced team in the fields of low powered radio, telephony, software design and Internet. With the help of subsidiaries: Fimm in Vienne, France, HomeRider Systems Ltd in UK, and HomeRider Systems Inc in North America, HomeRider Systems are developing strategic partnerships so as to extend the number of services available world-wide.
