Hunt Technologies acquired by the Baynard Group

Pequot Lakes, MN, May 15, 2006 — Hunt Technologies, a supplier of AMI (advanced metering infrastructure) and meter monitoring technology, announced that Todd Headlee has been named chief executive officer of the company. The announcement follows the successful closing of the company’s acquisition by the Bayard Group, a global investor specializing in the energy measurement and efficiency technologies sectors.

The closing completes the acquisition process that began in March, and positions Hunt Technologies as an independent operating company within the Bayard Group.

“We’re pleased to announce a rapid completion of the acquisition and the official appointment of Todd Headlee as CEO,” said Cameron O’Reilly, managing director of Bayard.

According to Headlee, the relationship with the Bayard Group will allow Hunt to further expand its AMI business in both the domestic and international markets.

Mr. Headlee, who most recently served as Hunt’s chief operating officer, has played an instrumental role is leading Hunt Technologies to its current position within the AMI market. The company exceeded 25 percent sales growth in 2005 and has consistently grown by more than 20 percent each of the last four years.
