Hunt Technologies acquires StatSignal Systems Inc.

Pequot Lakes, MN, Sept. 11, 2006 — Hunt Technologies Inc., a supplier of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solutions, announced that it has acquired the Atlanta-based company StatSignal Systems Inc. The acquisition increased Hunt’s advanced metering possibilities by adding a two-way RF mesh network solution to its portfolio.

The company said the new RF mesh technology will be enhanced by complete integration into Hunt’s Command Center operating system.

Hunt CEO Todd Headlee said the acquisition was part of his company’s goal of providing utilities with a comprehensive AMI solution.

The StatSignal system is a patented RF mesh solution that promises advantages over historical RF fixed network-based systems. Because it operates in the unlicensed frequency band, provides multiple network configuration options and operates without endpoint programming, the system is designed to deploy rapidly and cost-efficiently. StatSignal’s two-way RF mesh is designed to be a continuously adaptive, robust and intelligent data acquisition and control system, enabling more data flow and timely data access at a lower overall cost than competitive systems.
