ICF Resources gets $34 million in efficiency contracts from U.S. utilities

Fairfax, Va., August 12, 2009 – ICF Resources, Inc., a unit of ICF International, earned two contracts to develop and implement energy efficiency programs for residential and small business customers for two U.S. based utilities. The combined value of both three-year contracts is $34 million.

ICF, an energy efficiency firm, will design and implement a comprehensive, “whole home” approach to energy reduction. This includes designing incentive programs and retrofit packages for existing homes, including multi-family residences; and identifying emerging strategies and applications for energy savings.

ICF will also help develop incentives and provide marketing support through retailers to encourage consumers to purchase and use Energy Star lighting, appliances, electronics, HVAC equipment and water heaters.

ICF’s integrated approach to addressing these challenges includes recruiting and engaging trade partners, developing and implementing a marketing and communications plan to support that effort, collecting and managing programmatic data and effectively managing the utility’s call center related to the delivery of these programs.
