INCON appoints James Baio its vice president of engineering

SACO, Maine, June 11, 2002 — Intelligent Controls, Inc. (INCON) announced that James M. Baio has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering.

Baio was formerly Engineering Manager, Product Development at Instrumentation Laboratory. Prior to that, he worked at Varian Associates and PE Biosystems, a division of Applera Corporation, in various engineering and research and development capacities. Jim earned a BSEE (Magna cum Laude) from Northeastern University in 1990 and during his studies was a coop student at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

Roger E. Brooks, President and CEO said, “I am pleased that Jim has joined us and we look forward to his leading our strong engineering/product development group. His background in measurement, electronic systems and embedded software, along with his experience in bringing new products rapidly to market, makes Jim an ideal addition to our senior management team.”

Intelligent Controls, Inc. is a supplier of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) and power reliability systems (PRS) for the power utility market and other industrial applications.
